The PSGB supports research in three core areas; Captive Cave, Conservation, and Research. We award grants to projects for each area, overseen and administered by the respective subcommittee.
The Society has built strong financial reserves over the last few years and in response we are increasing the number and size of grants we award. Further, following feedback from our members, we are introducing two grant rounds per year, deadlines of 1st March and 1st November.
We are very grateful for the kind donations that enable us to continue these grant schemes. We acknowledge the exceptionally generous support provided by Trentham Monkey Forest, which allows us to fund four extra grant applications per year - two for research projects and two for conservation projects. The funding from the Born Free Foundation, awarded through the Conservation Subcommittee, for a habitat country applicant is also greatly appreciated.
Primate Range Country Applicants
PSGB Grants are open to PSGB members and to primate range state nationals who are not members. Range state nationals that are successful with a grant application will be given free PSGB membership for the duration of their grant.
