The Research subcommittee (RSC) is focused on all aspects of primate research, addressing diverse questions related to behaviour, cognition, social organization, biology, health, population dynamics and evolution. RSC administers research grants twice a year to encourage and support primate research in any area, except those covered by the Captive Care and Conservation grants.

RSC members

There are currently nine members of the RSC actively engaged in various aspects of primate research. Their expertise spans psychology, biology, behaviour, health, and evolution, with work conducted in diverse settings such as field studies, captivity, laboratories, and museum collections.

Current projects

The RSC administers 2-3 research grants twice a year, with deadlines of March 1st and November 1st. Part of the funding is kindly provided by the Trentham Monkey Forest.
